We provide world-leading brand pressure vessels and parts to help maximize operational safety, reliability, availability, and performance of your RO, UF, and other purification systems.
PRESSURE VESSELS
Pentair Codeline Pressure Vessels are industry-standard, filament-wound fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) membrane housings used for reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration, and ultrafiltration
Key Features & Technology
- Material Composition: Epoxy/glass composites designed for long-term corrosion resistance and durability.
- Fail-Safe Weeping Shell: Overpressure is safely relieved by weeping through the fiberglass shell rather than causing catastrophic bursting.
- OCTA Technology: Flat-sealing multi-port design that eliminates costly external manifolds and reduces system footprints.
- Quick-Lock Retention: Tool-free, single-piece head retention systems available on select models for fast membrane access.
- Safety & Standards: Built in compliance with ASME Section X (featuring a 6x safety factor), NSF-61, ISO 9001, and CE.
ENDPLATES
Pentair Codeline endplates (also known as heads, end plugs, or end caps) are highly engineered components designed to seal the ends of fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) RO membrane pressure vessels. They contain vital entry and exit paths for feed, concentrate, and permeate water.
Key Technology & Features
- Quick Lock Head Retention System: Allows fast, tool-free or minimalist access to membrane elements during maintenance, using interlocked components or spiral retaining rings instead of standard high-torque bolts.
- Single-Piece Design: Most lower and standard-pressure configurations utilize a single-piece engineering thermoplastic head or plug, reducing the risk of internal multi-component misalignment.
- Integrated O-Ring Grooves: Seals are "captured" in precisely molded grooves on the endplate to eliminate the possibility of head seal roll during pressurization or element installation.
- OCTA Technology Flat Sealing: On side-entry models (e.g., 80S, 80H, 80U series), the endplates interface smoothly with the vessel's multi-porting structure using flat sealing surfaces that isolate the permeate port to limit potential leakage points.
- Compliance: Components are built using materials listed by the FDA/NSF (like NSF-61) to guarantee chemical compliance and safety in drinking water applications.
O-RINGS, ADAPTERS AND MORE
Pentair CodeLine Membrane Housings use specific maintenance parts—including O-rings, adapters, and retaining rings—to seal and connect reverse osmosis (RO) and nanofiltration pressure vessels.
Key Component & Maintenance Summary
- O-Rings & Seals:
- Replace all head, adapter, and permeate port O-rings (such as Ethylene Propylene O-rings or specific head seals like part 196266 or 196274) every time the vessel head or end plug is disassembled.
- Lubricate O-rings with a thin, even layer of silicone lubricant (such as Parker Super O-Lube) or clean vegetable-grade glycerin. Avoid petroleum-based greases that can degrade polymer and membrane components.
- Adapters & Interface Parts:
- Interconnectors and female/male adapters (such as PWT adapters, e.g., part 95264) couple the membrane element to the end plug or permeate port.
- Adapters vary by series (e.g., specific 4-inch adapters for CodeLine 40E60 or 40E100 housings) and may require element shims if axial movement occurs.
- Retaining / Snap Rings:
- Stainless-steel spiral or snap retaining rings lock the end plugs into the filament-wound epoxy/glass composite shell.
- Removal tools (such as a CodeLine removal tool part 50303) or a flathead screwdriver and pliers are used to safely lift the ring out of the groove without scratching the inner bore.
- Pressure & Safety Rules:
- Always relieve all system pressure completely before opening or servicing any CodeLine vessel. Inspect all plastic and metal parts for chemical attack, softening, cracking, or corrosion before reassembly.
